HOW TO APPLY HONG KONG VISA IN VIETNAM

INTRODUCTION

The visa policy of Hong Kong deals with the requirements in which a foreign national wishing to enter the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region must meet to obtain an entry permit or visa, which depending on the traveller's nationality, may be required to travel to, enter, and remain in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Visitors from over 145 countries are permitted visa-free entry for periods ranging from 7 to 180 days to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for tourism or certain business-related activities. The applicant shall apply for a visa at a Chinese Embassy or Consulate General based on your State of residence. All visitors must hold a passport valid for more than 1 month.

LIST OF COUNTRIES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE HONG KONG VISA

*Citizens of countries are allowed a maximum stay of 180 days: United Kingdom (British citizens only), Macau (for holders of Macau Permanent Resident Identity Cards, regardless of nationality).

*Citizens of countries are allowed a maximum stay of 90 days: All European Union citizens (except British citizens), Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Dominica, Ecuador, Egypt, Fiji, Grenada, Guyana, Iceland, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Kiribati, Liechtensein, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, Namibia, Nauru, New Zealand, Norway, Papua New Guinea, San Marino, Seychelles. Singapore, South Korea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Tuvalu, Uruquay, United Kingdoms (all other types of British nationality), United States, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

*Citizens of countries are allowed a maximum stay of 30 days: Bahrain, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Paraguay, Peru, Qatar, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda, United Arab Emirates.

*Citizens of countries are allowed a maximum stay of 14 days: Albania, Algeria, Belarus, Beninn, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea, Haiti, India, Kazakhstan, Lesotho, Macedonia, Madagascar, Mali, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Micronesia, Mongolia, Montenegro, Mozambique, Niger, Palau, Philippines, Russia, Sao Tome and Principe, Serbia, Suriname, Ukraine, Vatican City.

Citizens of countries are allowed a maximum stay of 07 days: East Timor.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR HONG KONG VISA APPLICATION

1. Original passport valid for at least 06 months from the date of entry into Hong Kong and still has 03 blank pages;
2. Visa application form signed by applicant;
3. 03 passport photos in 4x6 cm size white background;
4. A notorized true copy of Identity card;
5. Work permit and temporary residence card applied for foreigner working in Vietnam 

For business purpose providing the following documents:

1. Notorized true copy of Labor contract written in English and Vietnamese;
2. Notorized true copy of Business Registration Certification of the company in Vietnam;
3. Letter of business decision;
4. Invitation letter from the company in Hong Kong (showng signature and company’s seal);
5. Sponsored letter from the company in Hong Kong;
6. A copy of Business Registration Certification of the company in Hong Kong;
7. Original payment slip of the applicant; 

For tourist purpose proving the following documents

1. A notorized true copy of Household registration book;
2. Proof of financial standing;
3. For business owner: Notorized true copy of Business registration certificate;
4. For employee: Work certification written in English;
5. For children, student: notorized true copy of Birth Certificate + Parent’s Proof of financial standing and Proof of Employment. 

VALIDITY OF VISA

Visa valid for single-entry for 01 months from the date of issue. The duration of stay is up to 07 days.

PROCESSING TIME

The visa processing time is from 07 days working days.
