HOW TO APPLY SPAIN VISA IN VIETNAM

INTRODUCTION

Spain is a country located in Southwestern Europe. Richly varied in its geography, climate and culture, Spain offers something for everyone. From the verdant hills and rocky coasts of Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria to the tropical splendours of the Balearic Islands or the Mar Menor, any time of year is the right time to visit this fascinating country. Spain has a mixed capitalist economy in which there is a variety of private freedom, combined with centralized economic planning and government regulation. Furthermore, Spain is a member of the European Union (EU). All Vietnamese and foreigners with a legal residency permit in Vietnam, who wish to travel to Spain can apply for a visa at the Spain Visa Application Centers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

LIST OF COUNTRIES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE SPAIN VISA

Citizens of countries are allowed a maximum stay of 90 days during a period of 180 days:

Europe: Albania, Andorra, British Nationals (Overseas) Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino, Serbia, Holy See.

Asia: Brunei, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan.

Africa: Mauritius, Seychelles.

Oceania: Australia, New Zealand.

America: Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Saint Kitts and Nevis, United States of America, Uruguay, Venezuela.

TYPES OF SPAIN VISA (Short-term visa)

1. Tourism / Family visa: is granted for those where the intention is to visit Spain for tourism and sightseeing;
2. Business visa: is granted for those who are visiting Spain for business;
3. Student visa: is granted for students whose courses is less than 90 days;
4. Visa for Official Passport: is granted for those whose intention is to visit Spain on Official purpose;
5. Transit for seaman: is granted for some nationals who move to an area through a Spanish port;
6. Relatives of EU citizens: is granted for those who want go to Spain for medical treatment. 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR SPAIN VISA APPLICATION

All applicants must submit:

1. Application form signed by applicant;
2. Curriculum;
3. Covering letter from the applicant (stating the pupose of travel, dates of travel, all cover letter must include details of any other accompaying people as well);
4. Original passport valid for at least 03 months beyond the stay in Spain with two blank pages (passport is not older than 10 years when applying for a visa);
5. Copies all pages of the recent passport;
6. Copies of old passport(s) if any);
7. 02 photos white background, 3.5x4.5 cm size, must be taken within the last 6 months;
8. Notarized true copy of National Identity Card;
9. Notarized true copy of Single/ Marriage/ Divorce Certificate;
10. Notarized true copy of Birth Certificate;
11. Notarized true copy Household Registration Book;
12. Travel Medical Insurance covering the entire period of intended stay, valid for all Schengen States and covering any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgency medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during your stay (minimum coverage EUR 30 000);
13. Proof of financial standing:

* Balance Confirmation having at least $10,000;

* Bank Statement within the last 06 months;

* Passbook;

* Notarized true copy of any asset ownership, such as land, house or car...

14. Proof of professional status:

* For business owner/ shareholder: Notarized true copy of Business Registration Certificate + Bank statement within the last 03 months;

* For employee: Notarized Labor Contract (written both in English and Spanish) + Pay slips or wage statement within the last 03 months;

For business purpose, providing the following documents:

1. Original Invitation letter from the company in Spain written in Spanish lanuage or both in English and Spanish;
2. Support letter from the company in Spain;
3. Legal documents from the company in Spain;
4. Scan of inviter’s passport;
5. Proof of commercial contact between 02 companies;
6. A letter of business decision from a company in Vietnam indicating the applicant’s position, length of employment and purpose of visit(s) to Spain;

For tourist purpose, providing the following documents:

1. Original Leave Application Form;
2. A copy of hotel reservation;
3. Copies of return flight tickets;
4. For minor:

* In case the minor is tavelling with either of the parents, provide the affidavit from the other parent;

* In case the minor is travelling with another person, provide the affidavit from both the parents.

VALIDITY OF VISA

The short-stay visa is valid for 180 days and the duration of stay is not exceeding 90 days.

PROCESSING TIME

The visa processing time is from 3-5 working days.
