INTRODUCTION
Israel is located in the Middle East bordering
the Mediterranean Sea. Neighboring countries include Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon,
Syria, and the regions Gaza Strip and West Bank. Despite its small size, Israel
is home to a variety of geographic features, from the Negev desert in the
south, mountain ranges in the north, and the Jordan Rift Valley in the east. That is the reason why many
people all over the world are eager to earn a chance to visit this country.
However, there are some requirements for the entry permit into Israel. Visitors to Israel must obtain a visa from one
of the Israeli diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt
countries. All visitors must hold a passport that is valid for 6 months after
the date of departure from Israel, there
are 2 main types of Israel visa: visa of tourism and visa of business trip with
the valid term of 3 months, allowing to entry once. For applying Israel visa in
urgent cases, the Embassy shall ask for direct interview.
LIST
OF COUNTRIES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE ISRAEL VISA
Holders
of normal passports of the following 100 jurisdictions do not require a visa
for Israel for a maximum stay of 3 months for tourism
Europe: All citizens of the European Union, Albania,
Andorra, Belarus, Georgia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Moldova, Monaco,
Montenegro, Norway, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Vatican City
Asia: Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Macao, Mongolia,
Philippines, Singapore,
Africa: Botswana, Central African Republic, Lesotho, Malawi,
Mauritius, South Africa, Swaziland,
America: Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Brazil,
Canada, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El
Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, United States, Uruguay,
Australia: Australia, Fiji, Micronesia, Nauru, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu
TYPE OF ISRAEL VISAS
1) Immigration visa: issued for
Jew wishing to immigrate to the State of Israel. Jews returning to Israel are
considered people who were away - or whose ancestors were away - from Israel,
and are now returning to their country
2) A/1 Temporary Resident visa:
given to a person who is eligible for immigration (aliya) and has completed the
examination process with the aliya representative of the Jewish Agency, and
whose application has been examined and approved by the diplomatic / consular
representative at an Israeli mission.
3) A/2 Student visa:
- Granted to those who want to study in Israel in elementary and high schools, academic institutions, yeshivot and youth institutions of the Jewish Agency
- Valid for up to one year
- Multiple entrances and exits
- Recipients of this visa are not permitted to work in Israel.
4) A/3 Clergy visa:
- Granted to clergymen for the purpose of fulfilling their clerical duties among their religious communities in Israel, pursuant to the invitation of a recognized religious institution in Israel
- The validity of the visa will be in accordance with Ministry of Interior guidelines, with the option of renewal only in Israel.
- A/4 visa for spouses and children: Granted to the spouses and minor children of recipients of A/2 or A/3 visas.
5) B/1 Work visa:
- Issued for a person whose stay in Israel is approved for a limited period of time for the purpose of work
- The validity of the B/1 Work visa will be in accordance with Ministry of Interior guidelines.
6) B/2 Visitor's visa:
- Granted to someone who wishes to stay in Israel for only a short time (for a visit, tourism, a business meeting or study in a Hebrew ulpan)
- A person who enters Israel on a B/2 visa is not allowed to work in the State of Israel.
- Valid for up to three months from the date of issue
- The duration of the stay in Israel will be determined by the Border Police.
- The fee will not be refunded to the applicant if the visa is not issued for any reason.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR
ISRAEL VISA APPLICATION
1)
Original passport valid for at least 06 months from
the date of entry into ISRAEL and still has blank pages;
2)
Visa
application form signed by the applicant;
3)
2 passport photos in 4x6 cm size white
background;
4)
A letter for visa application;
5)
Labor contract;
6)
The latest 06 month payrolls;
7)
Personal bank statement of the past six months;
8)
Travel insurance;
9)
Work permit and temporary residence card applied for
foreigner working in Vietnam;
10) An authorized
letter, in case the applicant not able to submit in person.
For
business purpose providing the following documents
1)
Invitation letter from a company in ISRAEL
2)
Letter
of business decision from the Company regarding the person travelling/who
will be covered all the expenses
3)
Business registration certificate
For
tourist purpose proving the following documents
1) Travel Itinerary;
2) Leave acceptance from Employer;
3) Flight ticket (ticket should be
issued before granting the visa upon request);
4) Hotel booking;
5) Property evidences (if any);
6) Religious book (if traveling for
religious purpose);
7) Household Registration Book;
8) Marriage
certificate.
VALIDITY OF VISA
The duration of stay is determined/ confirmed by
the Israel Embassy or Consulate, the
popular visa term is 3 month single entry and allows a stay of up
to 30 days
PROCESSING TIME
The visa
processing time is from 7 to 10 working days
